Information Concerning the Insurance Policies
Important information regarding the regulations applied by the Company to the various terms of its Investment Insurance Policies for the year 2025. According to the terms of the contract, the Company reserves the right to revise the following regulations during the year.
1. Premium Payment Grace Period
After the payment of the first premium, the Policyholder is entitled to a grace period of thirty (30) days from the due date of each subsequent premium without incurring any surcharge. During the grace period, the Policy remains valid; however, if an insured event occurs during this period, all overdue premiums will be deducted from the benefit payable.
If the Policyholder does not settle the overdue premiums within the grace period, then, depending on the terms specified in each individual Policy:
A. The Policy may automatically terminate
· if the Policyholder has not paid the premiums for a specific period as stated in the Policy, and/or
· if the Policy has not acquired a Surrender Value
· if the Policy has acquired a Surrender Value but that value is less than €35
B. The overdue amount may be settled through Automatic Premium Loan
If the option of Automatic Premium Loan is provided by the terms of the Policy and provided that the Policy has acquired a Surrender Value exceeding any outstanding amounts owed to the Company plus the premium due, the Company will pay the premium with an interest-bearing loan secured by the Surrender Value of the Policy Units. The interest rate is set at 4% annually with semi-annual compounding.
C. The overdue amount may be settled through Automatic Premium Payment by Unit Redemption
If the option of automatic premium payment is provided by the terms of the Policy and provided that the Policy has acquired a Surrender Value equal to or greater than the installment due after deducting any amounts owed to the Company, then the installment will be automatically settled through redemption of the corresponding units.
D. The Policy may be converted into a Paid-Up Policy
If the option of automatic conversion into a Paid-Up Policy is provided by the terms of the Policy and the Policy has acquired a Surrender Value that is less than the installment due (after deducting any amounts owed to the Company) but greater than €35, then the Policy will automatically be converted into a Paid-Up Policy without further premium payments.
